According to him, the city administration was committed to commit to continuing efforts in preventing corruption under the Jakarta Provincial Government, which is deemed a shared responsibility.
"Currently, we're also carrying out bureaucratic reform, which is carried out systematically. We want the development of an integrity zone at the regional government level. This development must have a reference as a role model, and this is very important in order to achieve the title of integrity zone," he expressed.
Heru Committed to Implement Anti Corruption in EducationHe explained all regional officials must be more careful in carrying out anti-corruption implementation. As a prevention effort, anti-corruption education must target all levels of society, especially from school. Thus, the values of integrity and the dangers of corruption can be instilled from an early age to create an anti-corruption generation.
"Thereby, we appreciate the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for its dedication to assisting the Inspectorate in implementing corruption prevention programs. So, we can participate in eradicating corruption in the city administration. Hopefully, the technical guidance participants can follow well and pass on the wisdom of learning the material here seriously," he explained.
The activity received appreciation from KPK's Education and Community Role Section Deputy, Wawan Wardian.
"In the future, the steps that have been taken by the city administrarion can be an example for other regions on how to implement anti-corruption education. Moreover, echelon III, such as those in the sub-districts, will be assigned to be more active in the community," he explained.
He added that implementing anti-corruption education for students can be exemplified by sharing direct experiences.
"It will be a different thing for students if they hear directly how ASNs hold implementation directly, so that it becomes a new experience and inspiration for students," he explained.
Jakarta Inspectorate Chief, Syaefuloh Hidayat added the anti-corruption education program is a massive movement to make Jakarta free from corruption.
In 2023, Jakarta won first place in the achievement of the integrated corruption prevention program. So, with this achievement, the city adminisrartion would continue to build and implement values related to anti-corruption.
"Hopefully, all regional officials will participate fairly in carrying out anti-corruption education programs because this is a shared responsibility. I urge these officials to make at least four visits to schools for anti-corruption education," he stated.
